Proof of value in case of damage, loss or missing content

To make a claim for damage, loss or missing content, you need to provide documentation. The documents required are the following:

• The commercial invoice (purchase/sale) of the transported goods.
• The purchase receipt.
• eBay/PayPal transaction receipt.

The invoice is important because it’s the most concrete proof of the value of the goods. The invoice must include the following:

1. It will always need to reflect details consistent with the sender and/or recipient, showing that the goods are property of one of the parties involved in the shipment. (Except for in the case of purchase/cashier receipts).
2. Date of issue (the same as or earlier than the delivery/purchase date).
3. The invoice number.
4. Detailed description of the items.
5. The seller’s Tax Identification Number, tax information and address.
6. Breakdown of taxes.

The proof of value is an essential document to be able to submit a claim for damage, loss or missing content.

In cases where there is no invoice, or if the invoice date is older than 60 days, a devaluation will be applied.
