The shipping label is the document that allows the merchandise to be identified. It contains a unique barcode, which acts as the parcel’s identifier (ID) and can be printed on either adhesive paper or standard paper.
All the shipping details are stored in this barcode: sender and recipient details, tracking number, the parcel's dimensions and weight, amongst other things.
It is very important that during the purchase process you check whether the service you will use requires you to print and attach a label to the parcel. You can identify these services by the following indicators:
-
Printer required
-
No printer required
Important
If you choose a service that requires label printing, it is mandatory to stick it on the outside of the parcel.
The shipping label can be downloaded as a PDF from the service confirmation email sent by Packlink after purchasing the shipment.
If the PDF file for your label does not download, there may have been a technical issue, or the carrier's system may be taking a little longer than usual to process the request, and therefore the document has not been generated immediately. For further information, please consult this article.
