With the Poste Boxless - Shop2Shop Standard senza imballo and Poste Boxless - Shop2Home Standard senza imballo services, you can send your items without using a cardboard box or printing a shipping label.
Although the service does not require the use of a box or container, it is mandatory to protect the contents of the parcel to prevent potential damage during the transport and distribution process.
Please note that the Acceptance Point staff will print the shipping label and place the item inside the plastic envelope provided by Poste Italiane, they will not add any protective packaging material.
How does it work?
- The shipment must be a one-piece parcel, with a maximum weight of 3 kg and dimensions not exceeding 35cm x 25cm x 7cm, to ensure it fits inside the Poste Italiane plastic envelope.
- Before dropping off your goods, you must ensure that they are wrapped in sufficient shock-absorbing material to protect them against impacts, falls and vibrations.
- Once you have completed the shipment, you will receive a QR code via email. You can use this code to drop off the goods at an Acceptance Point of the Poste Network (Fermo Posta or Punto Posta).
- This service is not available at the Punto Poste lockers.
Check your inbox and your junk/spam folders to make sure you have received the QR code. Some email providers may classify these emails as junk.
To use the Boxless service and drop off the parcel, follow these simple steps:
- Find the nearest Acceptance Point of the Poste Network (Fermo Posta or Punto Posta) and check the schedule for the reception of goods.
- Go to the Acceptance Point with the goods properly packed.
- Present the QR code from your mobile device for the staff to scan.
- Hand over the goods, the Acceptance Point staff will place them in the plastic envelope and print the label. Make sure they stick it correctly on the parcel. Afterwards, Poste Italiane will take care of collecting the parcel.
- Request proof/receipt of the deposit. This will be the evidence that Poste Italiane has taken care of your parcel.

Do not forget to keep the proof/receipt of the deposit given to you by the staff at the Acceptance Point, as it will serve as proof of your deposit and will be necessary in the event of a claim.
