The European Union (EU) is a unique economic and political association composed of 27 countries that collectively make up most of the continent. EU Members share common standards regarding agriculture, transport, fishing, industry, etc.
This means that:

- All apply a common customs tariff for goods imported outside the EU.
- Goods that have been legally imported can travel through the EU without having to go through further customs controls.
The following countries belong to the European Union:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
