New international regulations for transport of lithium batteries

Since 1 January 2019, there has been a major change in air transport regulations (IATA DGR) which affects the shipping of lithium batteries.

This change implies that the identification labels of the above regulations will no longer be accepted:

* At the bottom, you had to indicate a contact phone in case of emergency

From 1 January 2019 only the new labels will be accepted:

 

Next to the first star (*) you must indicate the number UN of the battery (classification for transport).

UN 3091 corresponds to lithium metal batteries contained in equipment and lithium-metal batteries packed with equipment.

UN 3091 corresponds to lithium-ion batteries contained in equipment and lithium-ion batteries packed with equipment. 

Next to the two lower stars (* *) a contact telephone must be provided in case of emergency.
